Hi's and Low's

Weight 62kg

Diet...
Breakfast: museli, actimel, vit'C drink
Snack: pancakes with jam, mug of tea
Lunch: mix of salads and sandwiches (not been as organised)
Snack: chocolate biscuits or a packet of crisps
Dinner: all sorts, from lovely home made lasangne to dodgy thai take-away
Drink: a glass of wine almost every night.
... looking at this now I understand why my weight has risen since my last post. It's so easy to slip.

Exercise...
I've manage 2-3 runs a week which is great, I'm not exactly sticking to the plan I have but hope to do that this week.  I have not managed to fit in anything else which is what I'm bummed about.

Live...
At the risk of sounding terminally boring I've been: working, gardening, getting car fixed (again), grumpy with my time of the month, nursing my post-thai-take-away stomach...Nothing fun.

My wisdom borrowed from Andrew Matthews today... "Negative thoughts are toxic. Wellness and disease begin in the mind."

Mind over matter, I've got to kick out all the bad thoughts, the wont' do me any good.

Soul Mining

Weight 58kg

Diet:
Breakfasts: museli, actimel and vit C drink
Morning snacks: tea and two pancakes (with a suppie jam)
Lunchtimes: salad crazy and yoghurt followed with tea and biscuits
Evening meals: anything goes, I have no control (yet)

Exercise:
Two runs, one you-tube yoga session and one swim!  I'm so impressed with myself.

Live:
I've signed my sister and I up for the Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10k in May so that's given me a bit of a kick up the bum.  I was telling a girl I work alongside about our plan and she wants to do a 10k too.  So by this time next week I may be entered into more runs (I can barely make it around the park at the moment but I'm optimistic).

Music... Skin I just downloaded two The The albums 'Infected' and 'Soul Mining' I forgot how brilliant they are.  They're raging, will be magic to listen to on a run, thank you for introducing them to me around a million years ago.

This weeks pearl of wisdom from Andrew Matthews is about NURTURING YOURSELF.
"Make it your mission to enjoy affordable pleasures.  Start now.  Nurturing yourself means spending more time with people who uplift you.  It means seeking out sweet experiences, stretching your expectations and feeling better and better, bit by bit."

2015

Weight (I'm going metric!) 65kg

Diet ..
Food has been abundant and I'm eating more than I need to.  I have voiced a comedy noise "blibb-bilb-bullub" that I believe is the sound my body makes when I move (at least that is how it feels).

Exercise ..
Several walks of varying length. I do like a good walk. A 20 minute run on Christmas day.

Life ..
Over the festive period, I have had my best ever attempt at constant grazing.
Went to my best new year party in a long time (where grazing was bonus feature), top notch.

I've also been reading "How Life Works" by Andrew Matthews. This is a self-help book. I like it.
The most recent chapter "Living in the Now" asks you to think about when you meet someone and you feel that they are amazing. It's early days of dating, you don't know what the future holds, all you know is you really like them and they really like you just the way you are. You spend all day smiling and when you see them you feel your happiness reflected in them. You are living in the Now.

I want to live in the NOW. Matthews says we should remind ourselves "Right this moment I have everything I need. I choose to enjoy THIS moment." and "I am what I am" he says this is in the bible but I think he stole that from Gloria Gaynor.

After my last post I did not meet my own expectations.  I was a bit fed-up with myself and kind of gave up.  What I should have done was live in the NOW :-D not been so fed up and just do something, anything!

Happy New Year - Enjoy THIS Moment x
